2003 - Landing of STS-111 Endevour. After two days of bad weather, Endeavour was diverted to Edwards AFB in California.

2000 - MirCorp Inaugurates the Citizen Explorer Program. Initial candidate is Dennis Tito, a former U.S. space program engineer.

1973 - Skylab 2 Crew, Pete Conrad and Paul Weitz, perform an EVA to replace film cartridges for solar camera.

1963 - Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space, returns to Earth after three days in orbit aboard Vostok 6.
