1942 - Happy Birthday, Pyotr Klimuk, former Soviet cosmonaut and the first Belarusian in space. Klimuk made three flights into space.

1832 - Birthday, Alvan Clark an American astronomer and telescope-maker who made the first observations of Sirius B with an 18 1/2 inch telescope still being using at the Dearborn Observatory.
